Details

A new member to the Palladium Sport Cuff Waterproof category. The Pampa Shield WP+ is a Waterproof boot with an internal membrane, a water repellent treatment on the upper and a gusset to prevent water from entering the boot through the shoelace area. A nice mix of oiled leather and ballistic nylon on the upper and a comfortable and protective leather cuff.

UPPER: waterproof shoe made mainly with nubuck leather; only top quarters in nylon / collar in synthetic leather
LINING: fleece in polyester
SOCKLINER: molded EVA with honeycomb for comfort and cushioning - cover in 100% merino wool
BOTTOM + TOE CAP: Rubber + Die cut EVA
BRANDING: Woven label on tongue / woven label on lateral side / round rubber parch on lateral quarter
FEATURES: bootie construction with membrane / gussets / round lace / eyelets, 2 tops are hooks / heel loop in textile / removable insole

Overall, I’m very satisfied. I should’ve paid a little more attention before I purchased. It has a lot of padding at the upper half of the boot. They have leather versions without all that extra padding. I still highly recommend this product, however, I would’ve bought the other version.

Less comfy than they used to be
I purchased these to replace a pair of a very similar make that I had been wearing for MANY years. They're just not as comfy. I dislike the hooks instead of eyelets since they're hard to get the laces into, taking more time to put on. The ankle is pretty stiff and hurts. I'm hoping it eases up. The toe box seems a touch narrower, but hopefully stretches with wear. I'm still impressed with the grip and love being waterproof for my Saskatchewan transition weather.

Second pair of these wonderful boots. One pair for work and another for rainy days about town. Fit true to size and no breaking in required.

These shoes are not true to size. They fit a 8.5 women's instead of a 7.5. They also physically hurt around the ankles. I contacted the seller and they refused to assist and exchange for a pair that is true to size. Also, the color is very different in real life compared to the advertised image.
