PALLABROUSSE HI WP

As shown on the pics these are a lighter colour than 'mahogany' typically implies, and they have a work boot appearance in real life. These are also the heaviest Palladium boots I've ever owned (out of about 5 pairs) which is a bit disappointing. The back of my heel on one foot also developed a hot spot on the first wear which luckily didn't come back or grow into a blister but this never happened before to me with Palladium boots.

So while they perform well they're also not what I'm accustomed to from Palladium and I'll probably replace them next year. These were bought on discounted final sale because I needed replacement waterproof boots and it's the end of winter so I had no other option - nothing else was in stock on my size anywhere. Live and learn I guess.

They look great, they're waterproof. But the products have begun declining in quality over the last few years I've found. A decade ago I bought fur lined leather boots from palladium and they were so robust I literally walked through the sole before the leather upper had any holes or significant wear in them, I wore these for nearly 10 years. The last 3 pairs of palladiums I've purchased I can't wear. The waterproof fur lined leather boot, the heel leather cracked inwards and stared to shred my ankle, even just standing in them they cause pain. I can't walk in them even to get the mail without pain. I bought a pair nearly exactly to these but insulated and my usual size was too small so they rub and cause blisters. I bought these in a bigger size in hopes to have a good set of walking boots again and these shred both my feet in multiple spots. And it's not because the boot isn't broken in. It's the stitching on the inside of the boot that sticks out so there isn't anything that I can do about it because they made my feet bleed through thick socks.

This used to be my ride or die brand but whatever changes have been made have rendered these boots more expensive and unwearable for actual walking/hiking.
